2024-03-08: Changes to the ChatGPT (Beta) implementation in Minerva Messenger

Following our first months of implementation ChatGPT (Beta) in Minerva Messenger, and based on user feedback, we have made the following changes on how to interact with ChatGPT:

  1. ChatGPT is now disabled in Public Channels. Attempts to make a request to @chatgpt will be answered with an automatic message and a corresponding link on how to use ChatGPT within Minerva Messenger.
  2. In a direct message, users no longer have to type “@chatgpt” before the request. Users simply have to select the ChatGPT bot and start typing. A simple guide can be found here.
  3. ChatGPT can be used in private channels and group conversations. In these cases, the ChatGPT bot must be invoked by typing “@chatgpt” before making the request. Please see the guide for more details.
  4. The image generation model has been updated from DALL E2 to DALL E3
