Minerva Messenger (based on Mattermost,  Professional Edition) connects MPG peer groups in an open, secure, and easy-to-use communication tool. This service is provided and maintained by Max Planck Digital Library. Now you can communicate with your colleagues from all over the MPG-City & also with external collaboration partners! 

You communicate – we take care of everything else!

Minerva Messenger is hosted and maintained within the IT infrastructure of the Max Planck Society. No data is stored on external servers. All data is backed up on a daily basis.

Self-registration for MPG staff – invite collaborators

All Max Planck staff can register the Minerva Messenger account with a valid MPG email address. You can invite colleagues into your Minerva Messenger chats, and external collaborators can be invited as guests to join channels with customized permission settings.

Create your own Teams & Channels

Minerva Messenger allows users to create their own teams and chat channels, where you can communicate with team members, discuss current topics & share data files in the secure MPG infrastructure.

Start instant video calls with your groups and contacts

With the integrated zoom functionality, you can directly video-call colleagues or channel members. The use of the external Zoom function is optional & has to be activated by connecting an existing Zoom account. For set up please contact minervamessenger@mpdl.mpg.de (the zoom integration will be set up for you within 48 hours).
