Member Accounts
Member is the role only for MPG internal users. Members have basic permissions on the Minerva Messenger team.
Invite Members
You can add someone to your team via a direct invite, a public team invite link, or if they already have an account on the server you can add them to the team yourself. Open up your Minerva Messenger – Navigate to Sidebar – Click the Hamburger menu – Tap “Invite People”.
If you want to invite an MPG internal user to your team, we suggest adding the user as a Member. Because Guest is a user role with limited permissions.
Guest Accounts
Collaboration partners who are working on research projects associated with the Max Planck Society may be invited by MPG employees to register for the Service with a guest account. The guest account feature controls access to channels and other members within the MPG. The inviting MPG employee is responsible for setting the appropriate channel access permissions.
See more information about guest accounts here.
Invite Guests
Service members (not guests) can invite members or external collaboration partners to join specific channels as a guest with restricted permissions.
